UNDRGRND Movement is committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for children and young people. We adopt the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and comply with Queensland child protection and Blue Card requirements.
Zero tolerance: UNDRGRND Movement has zero tolerance for child abuse and is committed to acting in the best interests of children and keeping them safe from harm at all times.
Scope
This policy applies to all instructors, contractors, volunteers, students, parents, guardians and visitors involved with UNDRGRND Movement.
Programs Covered
This policy applies to Movement Foundations, Creative Movement Foundations, Yoga & Somatic Movement Foundations, Recovery & Mobility Flow, and future Aerial Yoga, Aerial Foundations, Pole Foundations and Performance Teams.
Recruitment & Screening
Instructors must maintain relevant qualifications, a valid Blue Card where required, and current First Aid and CPR certification.
Boutique Supervision
Children's programs are intentionally limited to a maximum of five participants, ensuring close supervision, individual attention and a safe learning environment.
Physical Contact
Spotting is used only where necessary for instruction or safety and is undertaken professionally, respectfully and with the awareness of the student.
Progression
Students progress according to demonstrated competency rather than age, ensuring every child advances safely and at a pace appropriate to their ability.
Equipment Safety
Equipment is inspected regularly, and any unsafe equipment is removed from service immediately until repaired or replaced.
Medical Information & Emergencies
Parents and guardians provide medical information and emergency contacts before participation, so that instructors can respond appropriately and keep every child safe.
Behaviour
Bullying, harassment and unsafe behaviour are not tolerated. All members of the UNDRGRND community are expected to treat one another with respect.

Reporting Concerns
Child safety concerns are taken seriously, documented and escalated where required. If you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child, please contact us using the details below.
In an emergency, or if a child is in immediate danger, always call 000 first. Concerns can also be raised with the Queensland Family & Child Commission and relevant authorities.
Policy Review
This policy is reviewed annually, or sooner following any significant change to our programs, facilities or legal obligations.
